Hi! I’m Helen
I’m an experienced, counsellor qualified to work with children (from 4 upwards), young people and adults. I’m British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP*) registered and have practice rooms in Bath, Glastonbury and Exeter.
If you are struggling with life, are fearful of the future, uneasy in the present or want to make sense of the past, counselling may help.
We can often find ourselves worrying about what other people think and so keep experiences, fears and worries hidden and locked up inside ourselves; where they can whirl around our heads and make us feel and behave in ways we don’t really like or understand… but we don’t know how to make them stop. This is when Counselling and Psychotherapy can support you to overcome them.
I am an integrative counsellor so I make use of different approaches and techniques drawn from a wide range of counselling theory. I use them to guide our sessions according to your needs putting you at the centre of every session.
If you are uncertain about whether or not counselling is for you it may help to know that:
- I will not judge
- I am never shocked
- I am there to help you and only you
- Our sessions are confidential**
- I’m very down to earth – I will never, ever, ever ask you to lie on a couch!
If you have more questions that aren’t answered here then please get in touch. I’m happy to talk on the phone or exchange emails before you decide to book your first appointment.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Helen
